Trying on the Trades is a project aimed at bringing the skill trades to school aged children by utilizing spherical panoramas, virtual reaity, augmented reality and gamification to make it fun.
TOTT has been developed by a collection of individuals and organizations based out of Winnipeg Maniotba. The project was originally developed by Red River College and Daniel Blair. The project was then picked up by Bold Commerce, and eventually transfered over to Bit Space Development Ltd.
The project has since become open source and freely available through GitHub where it is maintained by Bit Space Development and a steady stream of developers coming through the Red River College BIT (Business Information Technology) program.
The demo above is powered by wordpress and the panoramas used are property of Red River College. You can use the controls on the pano or your mouse to look around.
As you look around and explore the pano you will be able to play various games and exercises that help you to advance through the game.
TOTT is currently developed, supported, and maintained by Bit Space Development Ltd. You can recieve assitance with the product by opening an issue on GitHub.
